QualityOur commitment to quality is first and foremost displayed in our choice of wood. We use kiln-dried Douglas fir for all structural framing materials. Douglas fir is the ideal structural wood due to its strength-to-weight ratio, minimal twisting, and excellent nail and plate-holding ability. The choice of wood is an important question to ask any kit provider, as using softer woods makes your kit more apt to twisting and warping. Additionally, weaker woods reduce the structural capacity and compromise the aesthetics and lifespan of the structures. We are proud that our careful methods result in a beautiful, rustic structure worthy of your investment and providing a beautiful getaway for generations to come. |
