The projects in our 2020 line up are some of our favorite kits yet! All of these post and beam kits feature a custom design, drawn by our in-house CAD team to meet each customer’s needs. Each will also be handcrafted in our shop in Nebraska and then sent across the US for onsite reassembly. No matter where you are in the building process or what type of kit you have in mind, we are here to help and we have ideas to share!

Nebraska Cabin – The Armstrong 3232

32′ x 32′ 1 1/2 Story Gable | 32′ Center Section with 12′ Lean-to + 10′ Wraparound Porch

This post and beam cabin design features 1,024 sq. ft. on the main level. It is built on top of a full basement and also includes a partial loft. All in, there are five bedrooms, three baths, a large great room, spacious kitchen, and much more! Want to know our favorite part about this project? Ohio Wedding Venue – The Knox 72124

72′ x 124′ Raised Center | 32′ Center Section with Two 20′ Lean-tos + 10′ Porch

With capacity for 550 guests, this post and beam wedding venue will impress! Both spacious and elegant, every detail was thought through when bringing this project to life. Brides and grooms can prepare for their special day comfortably in the large bridal suite and grooms room. Sizable outdoor ceremonies can take place underneath the attached covered pavilion. Additionally, the covered porches on both sides of the event center allow even more outdoor gathering space. All in, there is over 5,000 sq ft of covered outdoor space to enjoy!  The interior features our handcrafted timber trusses, made from kiln-dried Douglas fir beams. A fireplace rests along the north side of the event center, bringing in a cozy and congenial ambiance.

 

New York Garage/Workshop – The Armstrong 4642

46’ x 42’ 1 1/2 Story Gable | 22′ Center Section and Two 12′ Lean-tos

This post and beam kit will be finished as a workshop and garage barn in the New York countryside. It has a footprint of just under 2,000 sq ft, with additional room in the partial loft. The main floor space is maximized by the use of 14’ bent spacing. Our standard bent spacing is 12’, but this can be increased to 14’ to accommodate specific uses. This is possible because of our use of Kiln-dried Douglas fir as the wood species for our structural bent work materials.

Mississippi Home – The Armstrong 3442

34′ x 42′ 1 1/2 Story Gable | 34′ Center Section + 8′ x 28′ Porch (Garage by Other)

This three bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home is sure to provide inspiration for those looking for a classy timber house with a moderate footprint. At just under 1,500 sq. ft. on the first floor,  this design has a large open flowing kitchen, dining, and great room area. Additionally, on the main floor, there is a master bedroom suite, laundry, and walk-in pantry. The loft includes two bedrooms and a bath.  The use of shed dormers in the second floor bedrooms makes them even more spacious. Finally, there is an attached stick-framed garage. Using traditional (stick frame) construction on garages is very common with our home kits when living/loft space is unnecessary in the garage.

 

Nebraska Barn – The Armstrong 4636

46′ x 36′ 1 1/2 Story Gable | 22′ Center Section with Two 12′ Lean-tos

This barn is based on our Armstrong 4636 Pre-Designed kit! One of many reasons this kit is our most popular pre-designed option is the authentic wood barn character it carries. Additionally, the size and layout make it an extremely versatile option for a wide range of uses. In particular, this Nebraska project will go on an acreage, next to a personal residence. The barn will house animals, have entertainment space, and much more.
