The Armstrong 4636 is our most popular pre-designed kit and the pictures from this project in Georgia will show you why! This post and beam kit features 1,656 square feet on the main level, which makes it extremely versatile and practical for a wide range of uses. Whether it is a home, cabin, hobby barn, horse barn, party barn, or a mix of these, the interior finishings make all the difference in making it what YOU want.

The primary use of this particular barn is to host smaller scale private events. You can see how the open floor plan on the main level allows for different group sizes to be accommodated. Additionally, the lounge area and full kitchen in the loft make it a relaxing setting for a variety of uses. The open portion of the lean-tos provide an inviting covered outdoor area to enjoy.

Post and Beam Barn Kit

When you look at this post and beam kit, it is hard to believe it is our standard barn kit! This simply means it has traditional horizontal girt framed walls. With a few residential upgrades, this transforms easily into a full-time living space with 2×6 framed walls. The wall framing upgrade allows insulation to be added and electrical and plumbing lines to be ran and concealed. Because the look of both is stunning, the use of the kit helps determine the proper wall framing selection.

Another one of our favorite parts of this pre-designed kit is the 22’ span in the center section! We use kiln-dried Douglas fir timbers for all of our structural bent work components, a premium wood species known for its strength. This allows us to space posts out further, resulting in a more open floor plan.
