New Pictures of 3,000 sq ft + Post & Beam Addition to Existing Home

Long term vision, and unceasing attention to detail were key elements of this impressive Massachusetts project! These customers purchased a sprawling farmstead with the vision of one day making a large addition – a New England style post and beam home. We had the opportunity to help bring this project to life with a 34’ x 60’ Raised Center kit. The unique aspects of this project encompass the home from all sides, literally.

Beginning with the roof, the south side features solar panels integrated into our highly efficient roof insulation package. The use of girder beams make for a soaring three story structure, with an impressive ‘gallery’ viewing area that allows insiders to see from the peak of the building all the way to the bottom floor! Finally, the custom exterior siding wraps the building to match the existing home onsite.

Old & New Combine in Impressive Timber Barn

Talk about a unique project! This impressive hobby barn was literally built around an early 1900’s foursquare house. The owners wanted to utilize and repurpose the building already on their property but add space for their daily lifestyle. This led to a unique integration of joining the old and new. The new 60’ x 72’ post and beam building houses a basketball court and collector vehicle storage. The foursquare house was re-sided with our board and batten siding and is used as an office and gathering area.

Take a look at our latest pre-designed kit, The Armstrong 4236! Every inch of this 1 ½ story gable barn is efficiently designed to maximize space while minimizing investment. The main level features just over 1,500 sq ft, while the loft can be finished to add over 600 sq ft of additional space.
